I'm Sera, but my mom calls me Beara 🐻

Besides being an illustrator and self-taught book binder, I'm a half-Asian American 🇯🇵🇺🇸 who loves traveling, playing music and decorating too early for the holidays.

Originally from Connecticut, I've been lucky enough to live and work in places as far from home as Japan 🍙, Germany 🥨, and the UK 🫖. Now based in Miami, Florida 🌴 for my day job, I'm working towards turning my hobbies into my dream job, so that one day I can choose to work from anywhere. 

I've got a lot to figure out, but hopefully sharing this experience here will help others achieve the same (even if we don't all know what the 'dream' is yet). 💭
